Cali

Our Founding Sleep and Insomnia Coach

Cali Bahrenfuss, CCSH, RPSGT

Cali has worked in the sleep field for over 20 years, working with nearly every aspect of sleep. She spent her early professional years performing and analyzing sleep studies at hospitals and clinics across the Midwest.

As her career progressed, she gained new experiences as she managed multiple sleep labs, operated a CPAP medical supply store, directed a regional sleep conference for sleep technologists, analyzed sleep studies for hospitals and clinics across the U.S., assisted in numerous research studies for branches of the U.S. Military and large tech companies, coached insomnia sufferers through online programs and apps, and much more.

Although she’s loved every aspect of her career, helping people with insomnia is what gives her the most joy. She has struggled with insomnia firsthand in multiple ways—by working the night shift, having an autoimmune disorder, and having her thyroid removed due to cancer, all of which wreaked havoc on her sleep.

As a result, she fully understands the depths of what insomnia feels like. She struggled to find non-pharmaceutical interventions for her insomnia until she learned about CBTI.

Cali successfully managed her own insomnia through the methods and techniques of CBTI, and she is impassioned to help others do the same.

When not working, she enjoys traveling with her husband and two sons as their family goal is to make it to every MLB stadium and national park in the U.S. You may also find them in the Arizona desert or the beaches of Southern California.

Sleep Industry Certifications

Cali’s certifications include CCSH and RPSGT.

The Certification in Clinical Sleep Health (CCSH) is an advanced-level credential for healthcare providers and educators who work directly with sleep medicine patients, families and practitioners. The CCSH credential enables providers to improve outcomes, educate patients and the community, and advocate for the importance of good sleep.

The Registered Polysomnographic Technologist™ (RPSGT) is an internationally recognized credential representing the highest certification in the field for the health care professionals who clinically assess patients with sleep disorders.
